John is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and has been in adjusting for well over 50 years. He has worked on large claims throughout the World, specialising recently in engineering and onshore power-based claims up to USD100m in claim value.

He has worked and lived in the Middle East and Western Asia since the 1980s and has vast experience in both claims and insurance business practices in that Region.

He was Regional Director of Charles Taylor Adjusting, having set up their offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Riyadh and Jeddah during his tenure in this position from 1997 to 2016. Prior to working with Steege XP, he worked as an independent Consultant to both Charles Taylor Adjusting (2016 to 2021) and Integra Technical Services (2021- 2022).
