John is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), with a degree in Quantity Surveying.

John has over ten years of experience in the construction industry, encompassing civil engineering and onshore property, as both a contractors quantity surveyor and owner’s consultant quantity surveyor in both Europe and Asia.

He has nearly 30 years of practical experience in both quantity surveying and insurance loss adjusting. John is also a chartered Arbitrator (CIArb (UK) and SIArb (Singapore)). He has been involved in supporting dispute resolution through Mediation, Arbitration and Litigation, advising on quantum and contract administration aspects of high-value construction and repair-orientated disputes, as well as recovery of Insurance related subrogation aspects.

He has given oral evidence as an Expert Witness in London Arbitration and Brunei High Court. His area of specialist activity is construction contract practice and quantum matters, with a focus on the offshore energy sector and nearshore civil engineering environments.
